Emma L Carson Elementary
Today's Elementary School adventure couldn't have been more fun. We got to play with the Earnhardt family at Mikayla and Jordan's school. The kids quickly ventured off the beaten path and discovered how to ride down several very steep hills. Much to my surprise, there were no injuries (minus Aliya's first bee sting). The kids (as well as Stephanie & I) laughed and played so hard. What a great way to wrap up the summer!

Meridian Elementary
Today we enjoyed biking and playing with the Young family at Meridian Elementary. When we arrived, the parking lot was full of cars - teachers preparing their classrooms for a new school year. A former classmate of James was there riding her bike as well and then as we were leaving, we ran into Mrs. Campbell (Abby's 2nd grade teacher). It was fun catching up on summer adventures, but sobering to realize we only have 10 more days of summer left. I'm not ready for the kids to go back to school yet. We will certainly be treasuring each of our remaining days!

Crestwood Elementary
Another fun elementary school adventure, this time with the Plett and Currey families. We had the opportunity to picnic and play at Connor and Aimee Plett's school. The kids had a great time playing "shadowball" on the ball fields, climbing all over the toys and riding bikes, while the Mom's enjoyed visiting a little.

Sun Cove
What an incredible vacation! We spent a much anticipated week at Sun Cove Resort in Oroville, WA with many of our closest friends and family members.
It's hard to summarize the entire week into a short blog insert, so here are our Top 10 Highlights (in no particular order):
1. Fishing ~ James even caught a turtle with his fishing pole! The kids were so proud of the medals they received from the Fishing Derby organized by Uncle Matt.
2. Celebrating Abby's 8th and Juliana's 3rd birthdays together, complete with three-legged races, waterballoon toss, tattoos and a Littlest Pets Cake.
3. Swimming in the pool everyday and in the lake on the last night.
4. Abby & Mommy kayaking together for the first time.
5. Playing with friends and family all week long (even a couple of sleepovers).
6. Nature hikes, where we discovered 2 pigs, 3 deer, tent caterpillars and all sorts of treasures.
7. Evening visits (and game nights) with the adults while the kids were crashed in their beds.
8. Bees! We will never forget all those bees (and the few bee stings we received)
9. Aliya gettting 8 stitches between two fingers.
10. Participating in a very entertaining and memorable Talent Show.
